Job Summary:
The Engineering Services Officer provides hands-on technical support for mechanical, electrical, and basic civil engineering operations across the company’s agribusiness and engineering facilities. The role supports routine maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure optimal functionality of equipment, infrastructure, and farm operations while adhering strictly to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out routine maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and minor repairs on mechanical and electrical systems
• Diagnose and resolve basic equipment faults under supervision
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and infrastructure
• Assist with wiring, welding, plumbing, fabrication, and panel servicing tasks
• Perform lubrication, cleaning, and servicing of generators, motors, belts, conveyors, and moving parts
• Participate in scheduled maintenance and system overhauls
• Support construction and setup of cages, sheds, and engineering support structures
• Maintain accurate daily logs of completed tasks, faults identified, and materials required
• Report equipment faults, safety risks, and operational anomalies promptly
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and engineering quality standards
• Participate in toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and hazard assessments
Job Requirements:
• OND, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in an engineering, maintenance, or technical support role
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or infrastructure maintenance
• Ability to operate tools, machinery, and basic diagnostic equipment
• Good understanding of safety procedures and use of PPE
• Ability to follow instructions, document work accurately, and work as part of a team
• Physically fit and able to work in site-based and operational environments
• Willingness to relocate to Anambra State if currently based elsewhere
Working Conditions:
• Site-based, physical role involving lifting, climbing, crawling, and equipment handling
• Mandatory use of PPE
• Exposure to heat, noise, and mechanical environments
• Shift work or weekend duty may be required
HMO, Pension, Annual Leave with Allowance and 13th Month.
