HSE (Safety) Officer (SO261)

 Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive HSE Officer to support the enforcement of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies across a terminal operation. The role involves daily safety monitoring, inspections, incident reporting, and promoting a strong safety culture among staff and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Monitor daily terminal operations to ensure compliance with safety procedures
🔹 Enforce proper use of PPE and safe work practices
🔹 Conduct safety inspections across yard, quay, workshop, gate, etc.
🔹 Identify hazards, support risk assessments, and follow up on corrective actions
🔹 Support incident and near-miss reporting, documentation, and investigations
🔹 Maintain accurate safety logs, reports, and checklists
🔹 Assist with safety inductions, toolbox talks, drills, and HSE awareness programs
🔹 Support emergency preparedness (fire equipment, first aid, alarms)
🔹 Monitor contractor activities to ensure full HSE compliance

 Requirements:
B.Sc./HND in Engineering, Sciences, or related discipline
ISPON HSE Level 1, 2 & 3 (or equivalent) mandatory
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an HSE role
 First Aid or Fire Safety training is an added advantage
